Waterless Skincare
Curious Herb products are waterless and made from 100% plant ingredients.
Most skincare products use water as a primary ingredient, which creates the perfect environment for bacteria to grow. To counter this, chemical preservatives are added because - despite claims - there are no natural, plant-derived preservatives that stop bacterial growth.
By removing water entirely, The Curious Herb removes the need for harsh chemical preservatives allowing the plants to work their natural magic.
Waterless skincare also offers deeper, longer lasting moisturisation than products that contain water. While it may seem counterintuitive, water usually provides surface-level and superficial hydration, which is why it absorbs so quickly. In contrast, plant and herb ingredients absorb more slowly but deliver rich, nourishing moisture to the skin.

The Curious Herb takes the sustainability and ethics of producing natural products seriously allowing the plants, and the habitats they come from, to continue to nurture us.

Curious Herb product ingredients and packaging are sourced from responsible sustainable suppliers. All packaging is recycled, recyclable or re-useable and ingredients that are at risk of over harvesting or unethically produced are avoided.

We also engage in small batch production which enables us to significantly lessen the amount of waste we generate, reducing the impact on the environment
