Waterless Skincare
Curious Herb products are waterless and made of 100% natural ingredients.

Most skincare products use water as a primary ingredient but water causes bacteria to grow. There are no natural, plant derived preservatives so all water based skincare includes synthetic chemical preservatives to prevent the growth of bacteria. By removing water, we create products where bacteria is unable to develop, removing the need for synthetic non-natural preservatives and allowing the plants to work their natural magic. ​

Waterless skincare also has greater moisturising properties than most synthetic or natural skincare products that include water as a primary ingredient. Whilst it seems counterintuitive, water tends to moisturise superficially. This is usually evident in quick absorption. Plant and herb ingredients take longer to absorb but their moisturising properties are deeper and more nourishing for the skin.

We create small quantities of products at regular intervals to guarantee freshness. Small batch production enables The Curious Herb to significantly lessen the amount of waste generated reducing the impact on the environment

Curious Herb product ingredients and packaging are sourced from responsible sustainable suppliers. All packaging is recycled and recyclable and ingredients that are at risk of over harvesting or unethically produced are avoided.
